Company History Toho Tenax Europe GmbH1983 Toho Rayon licenses carbon fiber manufacturing technology to Enka AG, which company became part of Akzo (and later Acordis). 1986 Carbon fiber production starts in Oberbruch, Germany.1993 Toho Rayon and Akzo form a join venture company. 1997/9 Toho Rayon develops majority share position (95%) in joint venture company. 2005 Toho Tenax Europe GmbH established.
