TENAX® MILLED PRODUCTS

Tenax® milled carbon fibers are random, short-length fiber materials. Typically, the fiber lengths range from <100 to 450 microns in length depending on the grade. The aspect ratio of individual fibers is sufficient to provide both mechanical reinforcement and electrical conductivity to polymer compounds. Additionally, compounds containing milled carbon fibers provide higher heat distortion temperatures, and superior thermal conductivity compared to the unreinforced polymer. Molded components reinforced with milled carbon fibers are dimensionally stable and distortion-free. Typical applications include electronic chip carrier trays, conductive flooring, and chassis for electronic business machines. Toho Tenax reserves the right to upgrade manufacturing processes and raw materials without notice, in compliance with our approach on milled fiber product improvement.

Resin Matrix Product Typical Fiber Bulk

For purposes of proper selection, note that the higher bulk densities correspond to shorter fiber lengths, while the reverse is true
for the lower bulk densities.
