PYROMEX® Staple Fibers

Pyromex® is a family of oxidized poly-[acrylonitrile] (PAN) fibers. These fibers have a Limiting Oxygen Index (L.O.I.) of between 50 - 60% oxygen, making Pyromex® much more flame resistant than many other organic fibers such as PBI® ( 41% ), Nomex® ( 30% ), or Kevlar® ( 28% ). Toho Tenax reserves the right to upgrade manufacturing processes and raw materials without notice, in compliance with our approach on oxidized PAN fiber product improvement.
